Social Media Marketing Training for Businesses
Every year we spend money trying out new strategies and bettering the ones that already exist for reaching an audience via Social Media. This is more and more important today. Trends suggest that business will continue to increasingly be initiated via Social networks.
There is an unreached audience out there that is seeking your products and services. Various factors play a role in ensuring that you not only reach these customers but turn them into clients. My most recent trial was with a children’s clothing and toys website.
Common mistakes include not testing your funnel all the way through. This causes potential customers/clients to start the journey through the purchase funnel and fall through somewhere down the road. If it can be avoided, it should be avoided.
SEO is DEAD! Or, is it?
I do not for a second believe the above statement to be true. However, SEO in the way that we used to know it is dead. Our methods need to continue to evolve with the times, as do yours. You can invest time and money into learning this for yourself, or let us cut through the crap and give you the essential information.
Most businesses cannot afford to hire someone to run their social media accounts on a day to day basis, or to run specific campaigns when they need to. Our goal is to train business owners so they can run these campaign themselves, or train their teams to do so.
If you would rather have someone else run the pages and campaigns for you, it is invaluable to know what goes on. That is how you avoid being taken for a proverbial “ride” by incompetent individuals and companies that you may work with. Our training covers all practical aspects of setting up and running campaigns on social media. We also look at some of the tools that you can use to achieve these goals.
Setting up pages
This is perhaps the very basic start that may often be neglected. Yet, these are the small things that go a long way in making sure that social media algorithms work to your best interests. When these are done right, there organic social media growth is still a possibility, although it has evidently been on the decline in recent years. There are several reasons for this decline, which include, behavioural changes in users and algorithm update to enhance ad revenue for the websites.
Analysing your competitors
A sure way to create a short cut to success, if there was ever one is analysing your competitors. This is something that is still key in SEO, as well as on social media. This is the process of seeing what is working for them, and implementing it on your own platform. Beyond this, you would also identify thing that you can do better than they are. This is known as the “sky scrapping” method.
Brian Dean will do a better job explaining it below.
Boosting Posts
Part of the ad revenue increase strategies that Social Media sites are using is the encouragement of post boosting. This will increase the number of people who see your posts/page, at a price, of course. The essential part is making sure your set up any of these boosts well. If not done well, it is like pouring water into a reed basket. This is a mistake that we have made and learned from. A well defined target audience makes for a better campaign.
Measuring ROI
Whether or not you should continue to invest financially, in time or other efforts should be decided based on return on investment (ROI). How do you measure ROI in social media? How do you define it prior to your campaign? Can it be redefined during campaigns?
These are some of the questions that our training answers. As you start getting some traction from your social media campaigns, it is key to evaluate these results as they come in. The internet is very fast paced. Your decisions need to be made ahead of this pace.
